Death and Creation

The Life-Death-Life Cycle of Life
2

I’ve spent the past month living off the mainland in Hawaii, and while it gave me some much-needed space (energetically) from the fascist noise blasting on all our media feeds, it also made me starkly aware of just how dire the situation is in our country.

I wasn’t entirely surprised, though.

As a consulting astrologer who tracks cosmic events, forecasting how they will impact us below, I’ve been screaming that the sky is falling for years. 2020 was when I began to more loudly sound the alarm, posting and writing with greater urgency.

What was surprising, however, was the realization that our efforts to resist these new emerging realities living under an authoritarian regime, were intensifying alongside its normalization.

Slowly but surely, it seems we have begun to adjust to the injustices, because slowly but surely it has become the water we swim in.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs are either ending, or being rebranded, due to White House executive orders.

Freedom of speech is being compromised on college campuses with university funding in jeopardy.

The highest court in the land recently ruled that trans people can be banned from serving in the U.S. military.

And a genocide funded by our tax dollars continues in Palestine.

Regardless of the fact that an ultra-right wing conservative party currently rules all branches of government…

Or that a convicted felon was elected President of the United States…

Or that history has shown us time and time again the relative ease with which countries can fall to a dictatorship…

The truth is, we’ve been swimming in these waters since this nation was born, arguably the real reason why we are where we are today.

You’ll even hear pundits and academics use different terms and theories to describe what we’re facing:

A constitutional crisis. A coup d’etat. The end of democracy.

I’ve even referenced it as, “spiritual warfare,” to try and paint a picture of things.

But ultimately what this is – is death.

No matter our protests, our calls to elected officials, the number of lawsuits filed against this administration or the political debates we engage, death is here.
